Find Henry at the Evanston Market
For over 30 years, Henry has been offering Chicago-area customers the widest variety of the most delicious, freshly-harvested vegetables — from Arugula to Zucchini, and from Japanese negi, burdock and komatsuna, to Italian Kale, Russian Garlic, and the one true French Shallot, La Griselle!
You’ll find Henry in the far northwest corner of the market, along University Place, which is outside the main market square. Stop by and say “Hi!”
Dates: Every Saturday from the first week of May to the first week of November.
Time: 7:30am to 1:00pm (The market offers exclusive shopping for seniors and the disabled from 7 to 7:30am.)
Location: Behind the Hilton Garden Inn and behind the Self Park Garage at 1800 Maple Avenue. Henry’s stand is in the northwest corner on University Place, outside of the parking lot which is the main market area.
Parking: Free parking is available at the Self-Park Garage at 1800 Maple Avenue. Be sure to get your parking voucher verified at the City of Evanston booth against the north wall of the parking lot on the market’s southern border.

If you love Henry’s vegetables, you’ll love helping out at his stand on Saturday mornings!
We prefer people who can work for the entire morning, but will also consider partial shifts. You’ll meet Henry and his truck full of vegetables in the wee hours of Saturday morning, then help unload the veggies and set up the tents, tables, and vegetables. Once the market is open for business, you’ll help with re-stocking, selling, and other tasks until it’s time to take down the tents and tables and load them back into the truck for the trip back down to the farm.
Henry gives you the choice of being paid in vegetables, money, or a combination of the two. Contact us for details!
